Region. Fringe push dropped

The NSW government has retreated on plans to push much of Sydney’s population growth to the urban fringes, according to The Australian Financial Review. Population projections in the discussion paper, Sydney over the next 20 years, suggest 70 per cent of new homes built in Sydney in the next four years will be in existing areas, and 30 per cent in the urban fringe, rather than a 50:50 ratio.
