Parramatta. Grant totalling $190,000

Parramatta City Council will carry out three strategic planning studies for the Westmead, Rydalmere and River Road West/Rosehill/Camellia precincts. Council accepted a NSW government grant totalling $190,000 to complete the studies in the 2011/12 financial year.

Macarthur. Premier to visit the region

Premier Barry O'Farrell and his ministers will visit the Macarthur region on Monday, May 16 to host a community cabinet meeting. "I am determined as Premier and Minister of Western Sydney to reverse the neglect built up over 16 years of Labor. Western Sydney is a unique region bursting with talent, opportunity and potential. It should be the powerhouse of the Australian economy, a place where people can find a job, progress a career, settle down and raise a family,” he said.

Parramatta. Visitor strategy for Parramatta

Parramatta City Council will place on public exhibition its draft Visitor Strategy for Parramatta 2011-2016. “The draft strategy was created to build and position Parramatta as a leisure destination to increase visitation, foster repeat visitation, facilitate greater spend, encourage longer stays, grow advocates and evolve perception of the city,”a council report noted.
