Region. EOI for hospital network

NSW Health has ccalled for expressions of interest for a chief executive, of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (Randwick and Westmead). The network is a newly established statutory health corporation comprising the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and the Sydney Children’s Hospital, and providing specialist paediatric services to childre throughout NSW. NSW Health has also called for expressions of interest for appointment to the network’s advisory council.

Region. Myer's stores doing well

Myer chief executive, Bernie Brookes, said he found it unusual that the retailer’s biggest growth stores in NSW were in Blacktown and Castle Hill. Mr Brookes said the stores had performed well despite no longer benefitting from the government’s stimulus package for consumers, which was paid a little over a year ago. “They’re lower socio-economic areas.What we’re seeing is quite unusual.They’re some of our best performing stores,” he said.

Ingleburn. PhD student awarded $60,000

Ingleburn PhD student James Hitchcock, at the University of Technology Sydney, will receive $60,000 after being awarded the second Peter Cullen Postgraduate Scholarship, which was established as a tribute to the late water scientist Professor Peter Cullen. The scholarship is co-sponsored by NSW government water agencies including the NSW Office of Water, Sydney Catchment Authority, State Water, Hunter Water and Sydney Water.
